These one-of-a-kind modern guest books are finely constructed, offer outstanding archival quality and are a great way to record memories from your special occasion. Pages are sewn to the hardcover binding, not simply glued, so they'll last forever. The sewn binding also allows the book to lie open perfectly flat.

Here's how it works: Make your selections using the drop-down menus above.

1. Choose a fabric color

The book itself is covered in lightly textured silk, in your choice of ivory, black, sage or chocolate, or sand linen.

2. Choose page style

Pages are available either blank or lined. Choose lined pages for a more traditional approach. The advantage to lined pages is that they are easier for people to write on and because handwriting tends to be neater with lines, you can usually fit in more messages.

Choose blank pages for a more creative approach. Encourage people to express themselves: Along with the book make sure colored pencils, markers, and plenty of pens are available. Ask your guests to compose a poem, write a short story, draw a picture or recall a favorite memory. Some might enumerate their wishes for your future, or share a piece of advice. A book filled with this much personality is so much more fun than just a list of names of those who attended.

3. Choose two colors for the photo borders.

Choose two colors for the photo borders. (Don't worry yet about what color goes where--our artists will prepare a mockup for you based on their best judgment, and you’ll have the opportunity to rearrange colors later on, if necessary.) Select the colors you want using the swatches below, and choose the corresponding colors from the drop-down menus above.

4. Fill in your inscription information.

This can be anything you want, feel free to get creative. A very common layout is to use the bride and groom's first names on line 1 and the wedding date on line 2, as in the example here. But don't feel limited. Your guestbook inscription can say anything at all! Your inscription will be typeset in Garamond font, exactly the way you type it. If you prefer to have no inscription, just leave the boxes empty.

5. Add the guestbook to your cart and complete your order.

You should receive an email confirmation shortly after submitting your order. Be sure the email address you enter during checkout is correct, and please call us if you do not receive the confirmation within an hour.

Reply to this email with an attachment of your image. We can work with any photograph, logo, or drawing. Remember that the highest resolution images work best. We recommend choosing a jpg file at 300 dpi for photos, and a high resolution eps saved in vector format for line art. In your email, please be sure to include any special cropping or layout instructions. We'll review the artwork you send, and let you know if any modifications are required.

6. We'll prepare a digital proof

We'll email you a preliminary mockup of your design within a few days. Once you approve the design, we’ll begin assembly right away. If changes are needed, our artists will be glad to rework the mockup. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to communicate with our art department before the design is finalized.

A few notes regarding the design process:

Please bear in mind that the better quality image you provide, the better quality the final design will be.

Also remember that the image used on your book will be an artistic print of your image, not photo quality reproduction. We will print your image onto ivory cardstock, not photo paper, and the print may lack some of the fine detail seen in glossy photographs.

Your final print color may be slightly different from the original you send. Because the cardstock we print to is ivory with warm undertones, colors often appear warmer than your original. We do our best to adjust for this color shift, but exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

The order form has a box for you to make comments. Please take advantage of this space to let us know about special requests, such as colors, cropping, etc...
